I found the Episodes quite disappointing so I'm in no rush for Episode 3.
I would rather them abandon the whole 'Episode' thing and concentrate on creating a true next gen sequel with content we have not seen before in Half-Life 2.

Before the launch of the PS3, Sony were arrogant A-Holes. Struggling with the PS3 has made Sony a better company again - its put them back to the PS1 days.

Upgradable hardware.
I'd liek ports where after say 4-5 years we can clip in new RAM or Graphics cards.
I couldn't care less about gamerscore or Trophies. I play games for their story not the challenge.
This is good news. The worse these old consoles do, the more sooner we'll get next gen ones. I think we're reaching the point now when almost everyone who wants a current gen console has one. There can't be many more people left.
Not in Europe and America anyway. Sony can't eventually flog the PS3 to the Indians when they have finished buying PS2's in another few more years.
I have a 360 and PS3. I still game on 360, but only muliformats. If i knew what I know now in 2005 i never would have brought a 360 at launch, i would have brought a ps3 at launch instead of waiting 2 years to pick up a slim. Oh well, I'm stuck for the remainder of this gen. I'm too invested. Next gen though, I think I'll stick with Sony.

7 is not bad. 7 is not adverage, 7 is good. 8 is very good.
5 is adverage.
Everyone else only utilizes 7-10 7 bad, 8 ok, 9 good, 10 very good. What is the point of a 10 point system when everyone other than EDGE only scores out of essentially 5?
Well the handheld market is not what it once was.
I figure around half the 'casual' players that once brought a Gamboy and played Tetris now game on their phones.
Of the half thats left probably a third have or will buy a PSV and game exclusively on that. That leaves Nintendo with just a fraction of the userbase they have in the early 90's.
Thats not their fault mind, just the way of the world.

360 is 7 years old. It will be 8 if the 720 comes out next year. That more than enough time.
360 might be doing well this year with Kinect, but how long can it last? Will Kinct still be selling this well in 2014? I doubt it.
Even M$ will want to release the 720 next year if they have any sense at all.

I know its only shipped, but retailers wouldn't take them if they didn't think they could sell them. This is unprecedented for a 7 year old console. No wonder Microsoft are in no hurry to launch the the 720...
